Shot List

Hi! I'm back after lots of research of film openings, genre, teen pregnancy, character development, etc. I have a pretty clear idea of what I want to develop and how I want to execute it. Here is my list/outline of the shots and angles I will be incorporating.

1) Opening Scene

  1. Wide shot of Lily confidently walking outside of school.
  2. Tracking/medium shot following Lily into the school hallways
  3. Camera shifts to an over-the-shoulder shot of people's faces as they interact with her
2) Bathroom
  1. Cutaway to bathroom throwing up scene
  2. Wide shot of Jessica holding Lily's hair
  3. POV shot from Lily's perspective as camera quickly pans to Jessica as she asks "U good?" (low angle)
  4. Changes to POV shot from Jessica's perspective as camera quickly pans to Lily nodding her head "yes' (high angle)
  5. Camera goes back to the original wide shot as Lily and Jessica exit bathroom
3) Hallway
  1. Tracking/medium shot following Lily into the school hallways
  2. Camera shifts to an over-the-shoulder/closeup shot of people's faces as they interact with her
  3. Two shot of intense eye-contact between Jake and Lily as Lily walks into class
4) Classroom
  1. Wide shot of classroom, camera placed behind teacher
  2. Close-up of Lily's face looking at something
  3. Eyeline match to a close-up of Jake looking at her
  4. Eyeline match to a closeup, back to Lily, of her zoning out
5) Flashback
  1. Cross-cut to a close up of Lily laying on her side
  2. Shot does not end but it zooms out to a medium shot of her waking up and smiling
  3. Close up of Lily looking back at Jake and jerking her head sideways
6) Classroom
  1. Cross-cuts back to classroom of a medium/low angle of teacher
  2. Close-up of Lily apologizing then looking in the distance
  3. Eyeline match to a close-up of Jake
